Japanese and Korean firms look to Brazil for rare earth

South Korea and Japan are sharing Brazilian rare earth minerals. Both two countries need these minerals to manufacture goods such as hybrid cars. China halted the earth materials when  a  Japans's navy arrested a chinese boat. Since this recent situation Japan has said they will now cut down their reliance of the material by a third fromChina. Both countries are turning to Brazil for the goods since chinas supply export is decreasing.
This is a new way for the economy to run without fully depending on China for everything. And opening the trading world up for other countries such as Brazil.
