Great Korean portrait is different from other paintings because it is an art of immoral images of noble and the brave. The major portraits are mainly from the Joseon dynasty.

A researcher, Cho has been related to the Joseon portraits. After a long period time of study Cho concludes Joseon portraits represents the respect of one's root and their ancestors because of the Confucian society. Meanwhile, her knowledge of Korea portrait have developed she thinks it is meaningful to study the art of Korea portraits.

As I look over the portraits of Joseon, it seems beautiful art and the combinations of the color are very impressive. When I see these wonderful portraits, I begin to have pride for my country.

Korea has earned a culture award and Seoul art!
The winners were Rain, who picked up the world star award and SNSD, who won for the seoul art.
The performers weren't the all, also the scriptwriters, entertainment's founders, ... etc got their prize too.
Korea are really happy to win the prizes and be proud of their country.

I am writing a blog of the entertainment because this is another way to state the country "South Korea". As we show other countries our well developed country, there is a big possibility of good relationship with them and us. The internals would have a positive view of Korea. Another pleasing opinion is that the award ceremony was accompanied by a series of cultural performances for the economically disadvantaged. Which makes our country more bonded from each other by a small consideration.
I hope Korea do win another award after the fantastic performances to represent South Korea.

The news is informing to the readers that Korea has hit the highest peek of the moment. Over the first quarter Korea's economy grew about 1.4 percentage. The exports of Korea has been increasing too. The manufacturing industry continued its expansion by growing 3.2 percent on quarter in the January through March period. Right now the price of oil and fruits and vegetables are not knowing to stop increasing. That is how Koreans are having hard time with spending money on them. A lot of people in Korea is worried about the increasing economy and getting broke in their wallet. I hope the economy goes down as soon as possible so it helps people to live this world little bit more easier. People are tending to eat less fruits and vegetable because of their price which will end up having bad health for the Koreans. So the economy should go down until people can have their food and oil without hesitation.

To become a wealthy country of economy, Korea is trying their best on trading. To export or import goods to other countries, each countries must put their materials in a certain kind of container box which are huge! Korea informs that their container boxes are larger than last month. They made a record on one-point-86 million TEUs, or 20-foot equivalent units, up 15-point-three-percent year-on-year. Korea is recording that the volume of the container boxes which are imported and exported have ranked the highest so far.

Korea seems to develop their economy, by having big container boxes for their imports and exports. As they have much bigger containers, I assume that there is a lot of imports and exports. If Korea keep up their effort on the trade marks, I believe they would have a great outcome. More big containers with smart trading will help our South Korea's economy to rise.

President Lee informs Nonghyup

Nonhyup, the national agricultural cooperative federation, had a bad job of protecting their security password. The report shows that in the most extreme cases, the cooperative did not change some of its fifth teen system's passwords for nearly seven yearsTheir passwords had same numeric repeated passwords, which is not good to secure your banking system.

First thing they should do is to change the password that is not repeated and short. It has to be at least eight characters that are not the same. This is a huge problem because Nonhyup is one of biggest Korea's agricultural federation and the security shouldn't have been released that easily. As soon as possible the company should fix the problem and make sure none of other information have been out in the world to not damage their company.

Another Fair

South Korea gets attacked by virus! The government and other important bank sites were closed by the virus. Internet security infirm in Seoul, Ahn Lab was the one to discover the virus but not how. Luckly there was no big damage to any sites. Everyone who got attacked by it was glad that this time it was not serious like 2009.

As I am one of the internet user too, it is a pain in neck if the computer gets a virus. If i think of the virus on 2009, this day's virus is much better and glad thing for the computer user for the government and other important sites that are used for the country.

Good production of MOBILE!!!

Korea has been developing world's most advanced forth generation mobile network. The speed of the network had increased forty percentage compare to the third generation. The producers have made the mobile work where ever it is. As the network is fast, the mobile has high quality of the screen and 3D structures are formed too. If third generation mobile network took 6 minutes to download seven hundred megabits, forth generation mobile network only takes nine point three seconds. Their goal until 2014 is to boost up the speed and change second and third generation to forth generation mobile network. They are hoping to earn enough money to their efforts.

These days in Korea everyone has a developed advanced advice. People tend to have the mobile because it is useful and convenient in their life. The biggest reason is because it has a super fast network which gives people satisfaction of using the mobile.

Tough Agricultural life in South Korea

From now on Korea is being strict on the food that is imported from Japan. Since Japan have poured the radioactivity in the ocean, Korea is affected by the radioactivity. Korea is in horror because of the foundation of radioactivity from there industrial. The government of Korea is tough on the imports to protect their citizens from radioactivity before more radioactivity is found in the country.

Even though I am in the states right now, I am worried about the spread of radioactivity. I think the decision of Japan is a wrong and selfish thing to do for other countries. I don't think Japan responded right to the helps from other countries. I hope the radioactivity decreases, so people can be less horrified.

First meeting between North Korea and South Korea

First meeting between North and South! A letter from North Korea flys to South Korea. In the letter it says both countries should be preparing in study of volcano and pursuing coorperative projects because of the possibility of explosion of mount Baekdu. This mountain is a dormant volcano which is in between of China and North Korea. People are saying there is a big possibility because the board of the Earth have moved since there was a huge natural disaster in Japan. Big earth quake have moved Japan 2 meters toward the pacific ocean and Korea also have moved too. Now people are debating if mount Huji and mount Baekdu would explode soon. 

Once again I trust natural disaster is dangerous and unpredictable thing for human. Atom bomb is made up because of development of human but earthquake, tsunami, and volcano is unstoppable to human. We all know there is nothing to do to stop from the explosion but we are wishing nothing else happens.

Global help!

South Korea and Japan are sharing Brazilian rare earth minerals. Both two countries need these minerals to manufacture goods such as hybrid cars. China halted the earth materials when  a  Japans's navy arrested a chinese boat. Since this recent situation Japan has said they will now cut down their reliance of the material by a third fromChina. Both countries are turning to Brazil for the goods since chinas supply export is decreasing.
This is a new way for the economy to run without fully depending on China for everything.And opening the trading world up for other countries such as Brazil.

Poor South Korean Students.

South Korea's education is also called "CRAZY"! The education of Korea is really intense and frustrating. Students go to school at 8 o' clock with their uniforms and strict hair styles that the school prefers. They study whole day including school work and extra academic school. So South Korea have had a survey among the Korean students. After an experiment, it concluded that Korean students were less happy than other peers. In the survey that they have taken, Koreans had less percentage of their satisfaction compared to Japan and China. As Korean students show low achievenment, their thoughts toward nation and family.

I think the main result to the low fulfillment is the Korea education. Unlike other countries Korea has a strong importance to education. Korean students have more than ten subjects to study; they even study phsical education!! Even they finish their school classes they have extra classes to take, and these classes end at midnight! Therefore wealty families send their children aboard to other countries for their children's freedom and their existence childhood. As Korean students are stressed out with their unaffordable amount of study they are becoming pessimistic and earning less satisfacion.

More electric device from South Korea

Around the world Samsung is well known company. Samsung is one of biggest company in South Korea that produces a lot of different electric devices, etc. To share the information of Samsung, South Korea shares gain led by Samsung Electric, Woori. It has been earning money on Woori unlike Kumho company, which was loosing money because of the unstablized economy.

When I see dramas or movies, also when i go to other country i always see people holding on samsung electronics. People seems to trust in samsung electronics because they have good quality and useful in their modern life. I hope there is more exchanges with other countries with our samsung company. More exports of South Korea's company will help to develop the company's idea and increase of their income.

Korea informs that their container boxes are larger than last month. They made a record on one-point-86 million TEUs, or 20-foot equivalent units, up 15-point-three-percent year-on-year. Korea is recording that the volume of the container boxes which are imported and exported have ranked the highest so far.

Korea seems to develop their economy, by having big container boxes for their imports and exports. As they have much bigger containers, I assume that there is a lot of imports and exports. If Korea keep up their effort on the trade marks, I believe they would have a great outcome. More big containers with smart trading will help our South Korea's economy to rise.

These days in Korea the price of houselanding are raising. Therefore Koreans are having hard time getting their homes. The price of house fee rose, which gives hard time for the people who need house desperately. The number of rent range have increased double, and the cause and the result is surging jeonse costs. Jeonse cost is known as lump-sum deposits. A growing number of homeowners are shifting by Korean way of leasing property based on jeonse. As the current economy of Korea is not good people are having hard time getting a house. I know some people near me who has to move once a year because of the rising price of house fee, so they are renting houses and moves around after their date have due. The citizens will not want to see the price keep rising and rising. The increase of house fees would make things ever more difficult for those with a low income to escape the pressure of rents.

Subway!

Seoul is the one of the biggest subway country. Seoul has a expert development among the subway. Every internationals would be amazed to the convenient subway routes. The Seoul's subway routes are really easy to memorize and it has simply directions to follow so old people and people who are unfamiliar to the subway would have an easy time to get to their destination. It is not only the convenience of the routes but also the subway urban adventurous. It contains clothing stores like Korean traditional cloth and food places that also sell Korean traditional food. Therefore the outer people would learn the tradition of Korea.

I know some people from other countries who are amazed by the developed subway compare to any other countries. The very first thing they say about the Seoul subway is that it is easy to follow along and very convenient to get to their destination quickly. As I have took the subway few times, there are lots of fun views for the people who take the subway. Like I mentioned it before there are clothing places, food places, and other places that represents the tradition of Korea. Here are some pictures of them.

Great Donation

Korea have done a meaningful donation to Japan. Famous pop stars of Korea have donated big amount of money.(one billion, or 100million dollars) They are all wishing for the same thing; better environment for Japan. Not only stars, but also Korea very fist company, Samsung also have donated money to show sympathy towards Japan. To help Japan from recovering, government of Korea sent agency across Japan. They are sent for helping Japnese military to keep looking for missing people. 

When I hear news saying "Korea expresses sympathy to Japan", "Pop Star/Company donation" I am very delight that Korea is helping our nearest neighbor country for their recover. In my own opinion, as I mentioned before Korea is the nearest country from Japan. Even in the past Japan have been Korea's enemy, now when any other countries are having hard time, they should help each other no matter what.

Good production

In Korea they have been designed a gorgeous car K5, a vehicle, has been winning popularity from the world. K5 is produced from Korea's second largest automaker Kia. Currently K5 has been delayed for a half year to ship to Europe. Kia motors crop said they have been forced to be scheduled this way. As countries around the world like the vehicle, K5, the company is trying to increase the production of it. 

Thanks to all, whom loves our vehicle so much. It's not good to hear that the shipping schedule has been delayed but other countries love K5 and want them so Korea feels relieved. At this moment economy is having a hard time over the world because of the earthquake from Japan and launch from UN. I hope world's economy calms down as soon as possible.More production will help increase the beneficial points of economy!

Another letter flew across from North to South about their new proposal about the explosion of mt. Baekdu. In the letter it says both countries should be preparing in study of volcano and pursuing coorperative projects because of the possibility of explosion of mount Baekdu. This mountain is a dormant volcano which is in between of China and North Korea. People are saying there is a big possibility because the board of the Earth have moved since there was a huge natural disaster in Japan. As North and South are having several meeting about their plan, to be honest i'm getting nervous about this explosion of mt. Baaekdu. I thought of the explosion then the choas. It is just a disaster even though you just think about it. From later on I hope they gather more ideas of the explosion and if it does explode then the government of both countries should report their country how to protect themselves from the HUGE disaster

Flowers.

After Japan's earthquake and tsunami, Korea is trying their best to protect human's health for number one then they are taking care and worried of the production of farmers. Korea ships 32 percentage of agricultural and fishery production to Japan. Since the huge disaster, a owner of  a flower shop in Gwangju lower downed the price of a nice bunch of flowers to five dollars or less than five. As known to the world Japan's earthquake and tsunami have affected the other countries production. Among the products hit hardest are flowers, especially roses.

The world is tuning on red lights on their economy. A huge natural disaster in Japan did not finish only in Japan itself it spread the disaster to the others too. I always feel bad because the poor people would always be the target who would get negative sides after all. I do not know how long it would take to recover the production but hope that time shortens.

Korea hits a new high point of KOSPI despite of nuclear power plant and Japan's earthquake and tsunami. The KOSPI rose fithteen percentage and became 2,121 compare to last year which rose 2,115. The net investors bought about seven hundred billion won, which increased the rise of index.

I am glad to know something in the economy is running fine! By today's blog I have learned more about KOSPI. I know this may sound stupid, but when i first asked another international students what is KOSPI most of the them did not know what I was talking about. Since "K" in KOSPI stands for Korea. This investment chart only refers to Korea. Anyway it is nice to hear a good news about Korea's rising economy.

Experts to Japan

Korea sends radiation experts to Japan. Japan's nuclear bomb had exploded and people in Japan are scared to be infected from the explosion. Most of the people in Japan are contagion to the explosion of nuclear so they are trapped in the source of infected people. As nearest neighbor to Japan, Korea felt sympathy towards Japan and dispatched radiation experts.

People around the world are worried to get infected by the nuclear bomb, which happend after the huge earthquake in Japan. People are extra careful because of the effect of the bomb. If humans get infected by this bomb they are easily to get aids and disorder function of humans' body. Right now Japan is trying their best to save people from the bomb. In worst case Japan decided to put cement over the nuclear bomb. Koreas agree to conduct field survey on Mt. Baekdu

South Korea and North Korea have made an agreement of survey on line for the talk of mt. Backdue volcano. They already had their first meeting for the threat of explosion of volcano. Both of the countries are meeting with each other more often because of the possibility of the explosion, and they are keep trying their best to solve the problem that they are holding on to.

Another meeting with the North, which gives more talk between North and South. Since the mt. Backdue is threatening people of its explosion, I want the government to report if we are safe. If I think about the aftershock of the explosion, the fact about huge damage towards us is horrifying and impossible.

Radioactive AIR!!

 Korea is concerned over Japan's dumping dirty water. According to international law, officials of Korea argued that there is a limited amount of contaminated water that can be thrown away. They have a possible flow of radioactive air current that moves toward into Korea. Experts claim that the radiation will soon be diluted in the Pacific ocean. I believe that Koreans should be aware of these ongoing issues and keep out from the radiation that is coming from Japan. In Japan there are lots of people who is exposed by the radiation already. I saw a mother and a daughter talking to each other having a glass in between them because the child has been exposed by the radiation. Since people know how dangerous the radiation is, Korea should be careful.

There are few Japanese middle school text book which they claim that Dokdo island is their island. The government of Korea is going to send a letter from the education minister to Japan, if more textbooks are found. Korea's government are willing to see the change of the textbook soon as possible.

This arguement have gone off between Korea and Japan for a long time. Each countries claim that Dokdo island is theirs. Couple years ago Japan had admitted that Dokdo island is Koreas, that is why South Korea wants Japanese middle textbooks to change because textbooks are educational book which are read and learned by the students. To make it clear Japan should change the text as soon as possible. As I am a Korea citizen, I do not feel pleasant when I see maps or people say the island is Japan's. It is not only the island, it is also the Japan sea. It should not be called after Japan because it is not Japan's sea.

Activists to fly anti-N.K. balloons next month

After a huge earthquake in Japan, North Korea is concerned that mountain Baek-du would explode. Therefore North Korea and South Korea decided to have a meeting on Tuesday to discuss over the volcano in North. South Korea government asked to fly anti-North Korea propaganda over Imjinkag. It is a issue for sending the propaganda because ever since now none of the rightest groups announced the propaganda activity.

This tells how this meeting is sensitive for the North because the activities of South Korea will actually influence a lot for them. These days the world is going up and down for Japan's natural disaster, radioactive, Libiya, and possibility explosion of mt Baek-du. By this chance I am glad that North and South are meeting up. Last time when the South asked for a meeting after exchanging fires, but North refused to have a talk with the South. Taking this opportunity, North and South should think once more about each others.

Samsung Woori

South Korea shares gain led by Samsung Electric, Woori. It has been earning money on Woori unlike Kumho company, which was loosing money because of the unstablized economy.

When I see dramas or movies, also when i go to other country i always see people holding on samsung electronics. People seems to trust in samsung electronics because they have good quality and useful in their modern life. I hope there is more exchanges with other countries with our samsung company.

Let’s Buy Flowers.

After Japan's earthquake and tsunami, Korea is trying their best to protect human's health for number one then they are taking care and worried of the production of farmers. Korea ships 32 percentage of agricultural and fishery production to Japan. Since the huge disaster, a owner of  a flower shop in Gwangju lower downed the price of a nice bunch of flowers to five dollars or less than five. As known to the world Japan's earthquake and tsunami have affected the other countries production. Among the products hit hardest are flowers, especially roses.

The world is tuning on red lights on their economy. A huge natural disaster in Japan did not finish only in Japan itself it spread the disaster to the others too. I always feel bad because the poor people would always be the target who would get negative sides after all. I do not know how long it would take to recover the production but hope that time shortens.

Military Drills to Take Place on Anniv. of Cheonan Sinking

It's been first anniversity since South Korea's Cheonan navel ship sank under the sea. South Koreans assume the reason why the ship sank down is because of North Korea's attack, but there is no positive proof of the attack. Anyway South Korea militaries are planning on drills to celebrate the anniversity. From Friday the Navy will conduct three-day maritime drills in Yellow Sea. Also they will conduct firepower demonstration by mobilizing K-1 tanks and K-9 guns.
Pray for the repose of soilders' souls. But South Korea should not blindly assume North Korea for sinking of Cheonan navel ship. It is a glad news to hear we are still remembering the soilders and celebrating for them.

Kia Motors delays exports of K5 sedan to Europe

K5, a vehicle, has been winning popularity from the world. K5 is produced from Korea's second largest automaker Kia. Currently K5 has been delayed for a half year to ship to Europe. Kia motors crop said they have been forced to be scheduled this way. As countries around the world like the vehicle, K5, the company is trying to increase the production of it.

Thanks to all, whom loves our vehicle so much. It's not good to hear that the shipping schedule has been delayed but other countries love K5 and want them so Korea feels relieved. Seoul sends radiation experts to Japan

Korea sends radiation experts to Japan. Japan's nuclear bomb had exploded and people in Japan are scared to be infected from the explosion. Most of the people in Japan are contagion to the explosion of nuclear so they are trapped in the source of infected people. As nearest neighbor to Japan, Korea felt sympathy towards Japan and dispatched radiation experts.

People around the world are worried to get infected by the nuclear bomb, which happend after the huge earthquake in Japan. People are extra careful because of the effect of the bomb. Gov't to Review NK Proposal to Discuss Baekdu Volcano

A letter from North Korea flys to South Korea. In the letter it says both countries should be preparing in study of volcano and pursuing coorperative projects because of the possibility of explosion of mount Baekdu. This mountain is a dormant volcano which is in between of China and North Korea. People are saying there is a big possibility because the board of the Earth have moved since there was a huge natural disaster in Japan. Big earth quake have moved Japan 2 meters toward the pacific ocean and Korea also have moved too. Now people are debating if mount Huji and mount Baekdu would explode soon.

Once again I trust natural disaster is dangerous and unpredictable thing for human. Atom bomb is made up because of development of human but earthquake, tsunami, and volcano is unstoppable to human. We all know there is nothing to do to stop from the explosion but we are wishing nothing else happens.

Former ‘comfort women’ pray for Japan

"Comfort Women" are women who were forced to have sex with Japanese army during World War II. They were all sent to Japan when they were teenagers. But the comfort women proudly came out in front of the Japanese Embassey in Seoul and cheered for Japan. One of them said, “We hate their past wrong, not the people. We offer our deep condolences to those who lost loved ones”. They all decided to hold on a memorial day for Japna's nature disaster.



Admiration and shameness strike my mind right now. I can't understand how they show respect towards Japan and make a quick decision of memorial day. But when i read a quotation from an old women(We hate their past wrong, not the people.), I started to understand their mind.
When I see some ignorant stars saying Japan's disaster is from their unfaithful belief of God, they should be ashamed of themselves and take time for self-examination. I do really want to apologize instead of them to Japan. However, when I see old ladies siting outside in coldness and comfort them, I am really pleased and ashamed for myself.

South Korea and Abu Dhabi in pact to develop oil fields

Korea and Abu Dhabi national oil company made a deal to reserve one billion barrels of oil. Korea has a big significance upon oil. They want to secure energy resources to be a better country than China and India. This deal will be finalised next year and raise Korea's oil import up to 10 to 15 % of consumption.

As South Korea has a great importance about oil, this deal with Abu Dhabi national oil company will be helping the economy of Korea. Couple weeks ago, Korea was trying to save electricity to save money for rising oil price. The government of Korea decided to turn off the lights of entire Seoul, which gave many people difficulties for that moment. After the deal, South Korea does not have to worry about oil anymore.

Great Help from Korea.

Korea have done a meaningful donation to Japan. Famous pop stars of Korea have donated big amount of money.(one billion, or 100million dollars) They are all wishing for the same thing; better environment for Japan. Not only stars, but also Korea very fist company, Samsung also have donated money to show sympathy towards Japan. To help Japan from recovering, government of Korea sent agency across Japan. They are sent for helping Japnese military to keep looking for missing people.

When I hear news saying "Korea expresses sympathy to Japan", "Pop Star/Company donation" I am very delight that Korea is helping our nearest neighbor country for their recover. In my own opinion, as I mentioned before Korea is the nearest country from Japan. Even in the past Japan have been Korea's enemy, now when any other countries are having hard time, they should help each other no matter what.

One Korean dead body found.

Since Japan have been destroyed by the magnitude earth quake, huge amount of people died and been missing. Of course there are some Korean citizens in Japan. Right now there are not correct number of dead bodies. Up to now there is one person who died from the tsunami and seventy people missing from the natural disaster. Related people who is waiting to hear any news from them are anxiously awaiting.

Every time I see news, tears are formed in my eyes. Even though I did not go through the difficulties, I really want Japan to survive from appaling environment. For definite I do not want to see more Koreans and Japanese dieing. I really want to help and pray for better environment soon as possible. 

Huge EARTH QUAKE in Japan

On 11th of March, Japan gets a major damage from 8.8 earth quake. After a big hit of an earth quake, 13foot tsunami struck and washed off the buildings, cars, and people. Because of a huge earth quake, people in Japan had to experience inconvenience: blocked networks, trains stop, stumbling around etc. Elevators in tall buildings suddenly stopped and people could find smoke coming out from the buildings too. Japan was in shock because the earth quake was much serious than they thought. And aftershocks gave huge damge to the people in Japan.

Couple weeks ago there was a earth quake in New Zealand. Although New Zealand had a big one the number of massive was not a big as Japan. And as Korea is the closest country from Japan, I bet the farthest down of Korea paninsula had quite felt the movement. Hopefully Japan should recover the damage as soon as possible.

Seoul in Dark!

Eariler today in Seoul, the largest population city pitched into darkness. The government has shut down the electric because of the rising oil price. The government is trying best to save some money of the country by switching off the lights. As government is solving the problem like this, which tells the citizens of South Korea how the oil price rise is hurting the resource starved country.

I hope the oil price stops rising so our country does not have hard time. I do not want to see Seoul being out of electric and giving uncomfortable situation to the people in Seoul. There is no solution until the oil price goes down, so our country and government should be waiting with desperate mind wishing the oil price to go down.

Cyberattack in south korea

South Korea gets attacked by virus! The government and other important bank sites were closed by the virus. Internet security infirm in Seoul, Ahn Lab was the one to discover the virus but not how. Luckly there was no big damage to any sites. Everyone who got attacked by it was glad that this time it was not serious like 2009.

As I am one of the internet user too, it is a pain in neck if the computer gets a virus. If i think of the virus on 2009, this day's virus is much better and glad thing for the computer user for the government and other important sites that are used for the country.

Korean Students have less satisfaction compared to other peers.

After an experiment, it concluded that Korean students were less happy than other peers. In the survey that they have taken, Koreans had less percentage of their satisfaction compared to Japan and China. As Korean students show low achievenment, their thoughts toward nation and family.

I think the main result to the low fulfillment is the Korea education. Unlike other countries Korea has a strong importance to education. Korean students have more than ten subjects to study; they even study phsical education!! Even they finish their school classes they have extra classes to take, and these classes end at midnight! Therefore wealty families send their children aboard to other countries for their children's freedom and their existence childhood. As Korean students are stressed out with their unaffordable amount of study they are becoming pessimistic and earning less satisfacion.

Japanese and Korean firms look to Brazil for rare earth

South Korea and Japan are sharing Brazilian rare earth minerals. Both two countries need these minerals to manufacture goods such as hybrid cars. China halted the earth materials when  a  Japans's navy arrested a chinese boat. Since this recent situation Japan has said they will now cut down their reliance of the material by a third fromChina. Both countries are turning to Brazil for the goods since chinas supply export is decreasing.
This is a new way for the economy to run without fully depending on China for everything.And opening the trading world up for other countries such as Brazil.

Developed technology.

South Korea's government needs faster internet connections. They intends to connect internet for every houses at one gigabit per second. While other countries are following up the speed of the internet, South Korea is at a full gallop. They have the fastest internet connections among the world. The reason why Korea is having a fast develop of technology is because of Koreans' rapid adaptations.

I am glad that Korea has the fastest internet connections. Which is really convenient for the citizens and the government. The gigabit internet is also for the essential future of  South Korea. I would like to thank the developed technology because this project is also meant to  increase wireless broadband services. On the other hand when i think of the internet addiction it can be bad for the youngsters who can not help themselves from avoiding internet. But as gigabit internet gives out help to the government and most of the citizens, in my own opinion it is a great project.

South Korea prepares to counterattack.

South Korea takes action to the threaten from the North. Seoul accelerates stealth fighter movements to secure their own aircrafts and keep pace with other countries' seeking. The Seoul government are expecting to master acquisition strategy by June with a condition purchasing 60 next generation fighters. South Korea has a strong faith in stealth fighters to defend our peninsula. 

I am very eager to hear that South Korea is actually preparing to protect our country. Even though the government have to invest large amount of money, I think it would might help South Korea to be organized. In some way I think accelerating stealth fighter is a good preparation, on the other hand South Korea's military should be more trained. After making a strong military, I think South Korea is prepared for the counterattack.

Threaten from North!

North Korea have threatened South Korea on the propaganda balloons. They say they are going to fire across the South Korea's boundaries. South Korea's national defense committee describes the rejection of dictatorship and that Mr. Kim, North Korea president, harshly ruling his son Kim jung un who will be the next president of North Korea.

When I see North Korea threatening South Korea is not a good thing, also when South Korea have sent the North propaganda balloons, in my opinion i thought it was not a right decision of South Korea's president. I want North and South to have a nice relationship, which refers not threatening others and not sending mean massages. To have a better connection between the North and South, they should first have a time for a talk. I hope North Korea thinks once more about having a conversation with South, so they can have a step to a good relationship.

Rain, SNSD among winners of 2011 Seoul Art & Culture Award

Korea has earned a culture award and Seoul art!
The winners were Rain, who picked up the world star award and SNSD, who won for the seoul art.
The performers weren't the all, also the scriptwriters, entertainment's founders, ... etc got their prize too.
Korea are really happy to win the prizes and be proud of their country.

I am writing a blog of the entertainment because this is another way to state the country "South Korea". As we show other countries our well developed country, there is a big possibility of good relationship with them and us. The internals would have a positive view of Korea. Another pleasing opinion is that the award ceremony was accompanied by a series of cultural performances for the economically disadvantaged. Which makes our country more bonded from each other by a small consideration.

South Korea’s Current-Account Surplus Narrowed in January

South Korea's current account surplus have narrowed from 2.11 billion to 229 million. When Korea's account stepped up they had capital inflows and exports competitive. The oil price is the main reason why the South Korea's account have been lowering. Because of the narrowed surplus the KOSPI and dollar have been having problem with the global economy.
As soon as possible hopefully the oil price should decrease so the account surplus would boost up like the past and the global economy get better.

Korea urged to promote culture more subtly

The Korean government and the Culture minister plan to advertise Korean culture. They plan to open up to eight culture centers abroad and also create more opportunities for foreigners in Korea to learn about the culture. The government also plans to export its artists along with its culture, promoting Korean art culture and its lifestyle. Some people think that the so called "hallyu," the Korean wave, has been on the decline. However, I think that with subtle methods to export Korean culture, the wave will eventually spread successfully. Korea has been working hard to help the korean centers to work, even providing name tag with korean on it to visitors to the center.

Four Koreans rescued from quake-damaged hotel in New Zealand

On Tuesday a 6.3 magnitude giant earthquake struck Christchurch, New Zealand. The earthquake crashed tall buildings and churches, and sixty five people died from the country's worst natural disasters.

As you see above sidewalks and roads were cracked and spilt, of course the buildings were collapsing.
It was even impossible to say how many people were trapped and screaming for help. Polices, troops, and ambulances were urging to help the people, who were suffering from the destroyed buildings.

Four South Korean tourists were going through the earthquake when they were at the hotel in Christchurch. They were trapped inside after a wooden staircase in the building collapsed. Lucky four Koreans were rescued but currently there are 5,000 South Koreans living in Christchurch, which reports them to be careful with the earthquake.

S. Korea wins Moller-Maersk order for huge container ships

At 2013 to 2015, Korea gains a huge ship; a vessel at 400 meters long, 59 meters wide, and 73 meters tall. Daewoo shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, the biggest shipbuilders and Moller Maersk signed the contract with a option for buying 20 more.

Having more population and containing more goods, will be helping the economy of Korea.

Portrait paintings of Joseon reflect Confucian standards

Great Korean portrait is different from other paintings because it is an art of immoral images of noble and the brave. The major portraits are mainly from the Joseon dynasty.

Portrait above is an art of "gisaeng", a traditional female courtesan.

A researcher, Cho has been related to the Joseon portraits. After a long period time of study Cho concludes Joseon portraits represents the respect of one's root and their ancestors because of the Confucian society. Meanwhile, her knowledge of Korea portrait have developed she thinks it is meaningful to study the art of Korea portraits.

As I look over the portraits of Joseon, it seems beautiful art and the combinations of the color are very impressive. When I see these wonderful portraits, I begin to have pride for my country.

Kim Jong-il birthday: North watches tributes, South sends propaganda balloons

North Koreans are celebrating Kim Jong - il's birthday. Nobody knows the year when he was born, but they assumes it's around 1941, 1942. On his birthday the citizens watched a film of him and honored him with grace. South Korea's president, Lee Myung bak have sent balloons with insulting messages above Imjin river. The balloons were blocked by the northern policemen. This decision of President Lee was a nongovernmental organization. As a South Korea citizen the propaganda balloons fit Kim Jong il. People call him "Republic of fat" because of his ruling towards his country; a selfish ruler who does not care of his people.

Heaviest snowfall in a century hits South Korea's east coast

In more than a century, east coast of south Korea got chaos by a heavy snow. The snow prevented difficulties to the people; going to school, work, and other outdoors. It had snowed for 77.7 cm in a day. The government deployed 12,000 soldiers to clean up the snow for the people's confident. By this heavy snow the farmers' greenhouses have been collapsed. When I heard Korea has a heavy snow, i wanted the government to quickly conclude ways to decrease the snow.

Obama Plans to Step Up Talks on Free Trade Pacts

The United States trade representative, Ron Kirk intensify free trade with South Korea. The congress had been dragged because of opposition among democrats in congress; violence and week laws. Mr. Kirk goes Columbia, with a goal to develop "workable men" with human right groups to fix one of the democrats. Mr. Kirk stated the agreements of trade should be enforceable and highest standard and America's interest.


Personally, I do not agree with the free trade with US. Since South Korea does not have a strong economy, people will be saving money by buying cheap imports from the US, like rice or meat. Then South Korea farmers will be having hard time recovering their incomes. With the initiation of FTA, Korea's economy will surely collapse especially the ones who are related to agriculture.

Few days ago I have read an article about South Korea having a summit with the North. The North has responded them saying they disagree with the additional talks with South Korea. North Korea also explains of them crossing the limit line; they did not recognize the limit line.
As I read today's article, North Korea is hardly refusing to have a communication with the South. I thought President Lee, the South Korea's representative, have chosen the a right step towards his people, but now the South will feel uncomfortable with what North Korea has decided.
I hope the North does not regret on their decision and think and do the good for both of the countries.

South Korea Questions Boat Passengers From North

On second of February 2011, boat carrying 20 women and 11 men crossed the limit line between the South Korea and the North Korea.
As South Korea questions why they have crossed the line, the North responds saying they were just the "work members".
The South Korea is reacting carefully because of Yeonpyeong Island's attack and seeing wounded civilian and two other soldiers  being killed. 
To be questioned and to be answered is one of the most important communication between countries. Couple days ago, I read another news of South Korea having a summit with the North. As I watch the process of it, I notice that "talk" is the primary source for both North and the South.

About two months ago, one of the small islands in South Korea were attacked by the North. Since then Mr. Lee has been well dealing with the foreign issues. I admire him for his efforts towards making changes for his people.

As I read this news, i think of president Lee Myung-bak have made a good choice for South Korea and also for the North. Lee Myung bak is trying to go against the North by having a conversation with the North Korea's president Kim jung ill. Which gives both South and North benefit with their politic.
